Hello Band Family! As I mention on Tuesday night at our AGM, we are preparing for our 3rd Annual Silicon Valley Piping & Drumming Workshop. It will be held on 02 - 03 November. In addition to the amazing instruction we are also offering a silent auction, raffle, and garage sale/swap table. This is where your assistance is needed. We are already collecting items for these. They do not have to be piping/drumming related. Anything that you can get donated from your favorite places (restaurants, shops/stores, services) or that you would like to donate yourself is much appreciated. If you purchase anything that you then donate your donation is tax deductible. We can provide you with a receipt. Also, do you have any old gear or supplies that you don't need anymore? Please consider donating it to the garage sale/swap table. These items will be available for purchase by workshop attendees. I have attached a donation request letter that you can use to approach merchants/vendors for their donations. You will need to tailor it to the specific merchant/vendor you request from. I have also attached a thank you/receipt letter. Again that would also need to be tailored for the donation received. Please have your donated items to me no later than the Tuesday night at rehearsal prior to the workshop. That's Tuesday, October 29th. I will need time to organize the items. Thank you! Christina
