We have a great venue with tall pine trees at an elevation of 6,500 feet-- making it a bit cooler than Denver (which is a 45-minute drive northwest). For solos, we offer Grades 1-5 for piping, Grades 3-5 for snares, plus Novice Tenor and Novice Bass drumming. All Drumming events are on Saturday. Solo Piping Grades 4 and 5 are on Saturday, with Piobaireachd and Solo Piping Grades 1, 2, and 3 on Sunday. For Pipe Bands, we're offering both events for Grades 4 and 5-- and all pipe band events are on Saturday afternoon. Prize money: Grade IV-- 1st $300/ 2nd $200/ 3rd $150 per event. Grade V-- 1st $200/ 2nd $150/ 3rd $100 per event. Appearance allowance per competition band: $200 (must participate in noon procession/field parade [no speeches to endure] and end-of-day performance at the pub + Massed Amazing Grace).
