Presenter Bios

Ken Sutherland started piping in the earliest days of the Prince
Charles Pipe Band. An award winning player at the open level, he has
also led the PCPB Grade 2 band to many titles as well as travels to
Lorient, France. Ken also developed the highly successful Prince
Charles Junior Band (Grade 4) which continues to grow and improve.

Ryan Murray is an open level player as well as a bassoonist and
professional orchestra conductor. Ryan has also recently succeeded Ken
as the Head of the Music Board of the Western United States Pipe Band
Association (WUSPBA).

Liza McAdam and Davey McAdam are known far and wide as award winning
drummers and dynamic teachers, sharing their talents with players and
bands with a wide spectrum of experience, all with equal energy and
positivity. Both from Scotland, they have been in the US since the
mid-1990's.

Ken, Ryan, Liza, and Davey have been incredibly generous with their
time and talents in helping the MacIntosh Pipe Band and others over the
years. All four presenters are on the judging panel of WUSPBA.

We are so honored and excited to have them join us for a day of musical
growth and camaraderie!

In Loving Memory

William "Bill" McKown was a generous and beloved member and manager of
the McIntosh Pipe Band for many years before his passing in 2021.
