Good afternoon Northern Branch Band Managers / Pipe Majors, Please share this information with your drummers-- Drummers! Ever thought of competing solo? Now's the time! Starting this year, there will be "Duty Pipers" available at all of the solo drumming contests in Northern California. The Duty Piper is on standby at the contest, ready to play a basic repertoire of tunes for any Grade 5, Grade 4, or Novice solo drummer who needs accompaniment. So even if you don't have your own piper, or if your piper can't make it to a contest you want to go to, you can still compete--we've got you covered! Drummers in higher grades and/or who plan to play tunes outside of the set repertoire may inquire in advance to see if the Duty Piper can assist them at a specific contest.
