Hello bandmates! As you know our workshop is scheduled for 02-03 November. Some of you are already wondering how you can help. Here are different ways you can help make this successful and enjoyable for everyone. *Sign Up and/or Buy a T-shirt* If you haven't already, please sign up. The SVPB discount is $85 (full cost is $150). If you are not available to attend you can still buy a t-shirt. T-shirts are $15 (artwork attached). These will be black cotton with a cool logo designed by our very own PM, Adam. *Spread the word* Please use social media, email, or good ole word of mouth. Imagine if each band member recruited at least one person to sign up! You can find event info on the band's Facebook page and on, of course, the band website: www.siliconvalleypipeband.org *Donate* Along with the workshop we will be having a silent auction, raffle, and rummage/swap table. Please either request donations from local merchants or donate an item for the silent auction and raffle. You can also donate any items that you no longer need. None of the items for the silent auction, raffle. or rummage/swap table need to be piping and drumming related. This year a lunch is included. We will be ordering Togo's sandwiches. A donation of chips, water, soda, would be appreciated to accompany the sandwiches. Also, at the ceilidh on Saturday night we are offering complimentary desserts. Show us your baking skills (or your buying of baked goods skills) and donate a dessert. *Volunteer* A workshop and ceilidh like this cannot happen without volunteers. We will need help on the day with setup and breakdown at the workshop and also at the ceilidh. At the ceilidh we will need volunteers to sell tickets for wine and raffle, pour wine, serve desserts, etc. We already have most of transportation arranged but if you'd like to volunteer to transport instructors to/from airport, hotel, workshop please let us know as we might need one more driver.
