Last night we went over the comment sheets from Pleasanton. Ultimately, the comments came down to this: we were not playing well and not playing in unison.

This has to go out over email because, just like for all year, there were very few people even in attendance last night.

We have four weeks until the Seaside Games (Ventura county fairgrounds). We need everyone to:

  1. Show up to practice.
  2. Practice at home every day.
    a. Pay specific attention to the internal rhythm for the jigs and reels
    b. Pay especial attention to the tricky right hand work (tachums, birls, and throws)
  3. Play your pipes every day.

The fact that we, as a group, did not do these things before Pleasanton is reflected in the comments. If we continue not to do these things, then we should expect to see the same comments and the same dismal placing.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!
