I hope everyone is doing great and wanted to share some things happening in our local WUSPBA branch. There was an online contest this past weekend and the upcoming Redding <https://www.reddingbagpipecompetition.com/> and NorCal Spring <https://wuspbanb.org/norcal-online-solos/#spring> contests are open for registration! This is the recording of last month's kickoff session for a new monthly education series called "In the Zoom Where it Happens". I provide a bit of history about the bagpipes and start singing around minute 13:00. Join us tomorrow night at 7PM for Ryan Murray's teaching of The Boat Tune <https://wuspbanb.org/events/>. Looking down the road, it would be great to have future sessions tailored for drummers. There was an identified need to help Grade 4 pipers with piobaireachd but I'd love to hear your ideas for drumming topics in late summer and Fall <https://wuspbanb.org/monthly-meeting/>.
