Band,

We need a minimum of 8 pipes and 3 drums for the Bently gig. We can have
more of both, but we need the minimum or we risk breaching our agreement
and also risk having to refund money if the client presses the issue. They
have already paid $2200 to the band, $2000 for the gig and $200 for
parking.

Last I looked, we had 8 pipes, but now I see only 6 on Team Snap.

This is a cool gig at a unique venue for someone who could potentially
benefit the band in the future,
Christopher Bently.

The gig is the launch of his new distillery. Christopher loves all things
Scottish, especially pipes and drums.

Background

I piped for a whisky tasting at his Nob Hill penthouse a few years back,
then his event planner called me for a band for his engagement party a year
later — Joe Roberts, Josh Agee, Walt Innes, Christina and I piped for their
extravagant party at the Bently Reserve. The couple married in Scotland.
When they needed another pipe band for the Distillery launch, I got the
call.  I saw this as a big opportunity for SVPB.

We don’t have practice on Tuesday so we can do the gig. PLEASE reconsider
your situation for Tuesday evening and if you can possibly do it, join us
for this gig. We can have more than what was promised, but not less.

Tunes
Scotland the brave, Rowan tree, green hills, battles over, banks of the
lossie, battle of Waterloo.

We can arrange carpools.

Best,
Melody
