Hi all, as you know I have not been able to play or join the band due to
health issues.
For all of you that are leaving the band please humor and old man and let
me say a few words
Silicon Valley has been a successful organization. Because of the combined
contributions from all of you. I understand completely how feelings can be
hurt and egos damaged because of change. I have been there and done that. I
know how you feel, after playing with City of Sacramento for 20 years Liz
told me I was to old to play with the band any longer, that really hurt my
feelings,,thats what brought me to Silicon. I am sure my disagreement with
Liz over Abraham also had something to do with it. I did not want nor
wanted my grandsons to be around him. Now,,,You might be ok in another band
but your thoughts will always be on the band you help build. You, as
members elected our leaders because you trusted their judgment. The
leaders only want what's best for all of us, trust their judgment give the
changes they are making a chance to work or fail time will tell. Please
reconsider staying with a good organization that you help build and were
dedicated to. Thanks for reading the rant of and old man.

I too am officially resigning my membership with the band. Although it has
been a mostly fun and enjoyable few years, I find that I am no longer
aligned with the leadership of the band as it is at the moment.
I will miss seeing many of you at practice but will look forward to
crossing paths at the highland games or other events.
